This course is offered in partnership with the Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) to help prepare students for a lucrative career in the building construction industry. Local employers have jobs available NOW for those who have basic skills and knowledge. The course provides an overview and introduction to the many trades and skills that encompass the building industry. Basic safety, material handling, and rigging will be covered. In this class you will learn all the basic skills of floral design in a fun atmosphere. Your instructor has over 10 years’ experience designing primarily wedding florals for high-end floral shops. YOU will learn about tools, prepping flowers, and greening with different types of greens. YOU will complete arrangements ranging from bud vases to larger centerpieces, learn the art of bow making with different textures and much more. Each week YOU can create your own masterpiece to take home and show off. Fee includes all supplies to create a bud vase the first night of class and instruction for all classes. Students will need to commit to pay for a domain ($10 to $40 yearly) and a hosting plan (approximately $50 yearly). This Automotive Service Workshop is designed for those looking for an automotive shop in which to perform light duty repair on their own vehicles. It will provide the opportunity to work on personal vehicles performing BASIC automotive maintenance such as basic engine tune-up, brake service, oil changes, and tire service. This is a theory-based course and includes basic instruction providing students the knowledge to perform basic automotive repair and service. This course does NOT cover extensive automotive repairs. The purpose of this class is to allow access to some shop tools and equipment for students enrolled. 45.5-hour class

A certified instructor with the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) will be teaching this course which will educate attendees in National and State of Utah traffic control safety standards. Upon completion, attendees will receive National ATSSA Flagger Certification valid for three years. In addition, attendees will receive Utah State Specific Certification from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), valid for three years. This 4-hour instruction seminar includes books, materials, and a dual certification card for ATSSA and UDOT.
