The course provides an overview and introduction to the many trades and skills that encompass the building industry. Basic safety, material handling, and rigging will be covered. Heavy Equipment Operators work on many different projects including roads, bridges, building excavation, river restoration, mining, utility installation, and residential development improvements. Heavy Equipment/Engineering students will have an introduction to the following in this 70-hour class:

Also known as 3D Printing with Metals, this technology has been labeled as “disruptive” by many industry experts! Developed by the University of Utah Mechanical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the University of Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center and University of Utah Professional Education.

In this class, you will learn all the basic skills of floral design in a fun atmosphere. Your instructor has over 10 years’ experience designing primarily wedding florals for high-end floral shops. YOU will learn about tools, prepping flowers, and greening with different types of greens. YOU will complete arrangements ranging from bud vases to larger centerpieces, learn the art of bow making with different textures and much more. Each week YOU can create your own masterpiece to take home and show off. Fee includes all supplies to create a bud vase the first night of class and instruction for all classes.
